Our Initiatives

CSR programs are implemented through Cosmo Foundation focussing on 3E- Education, Environment, Empowerment and works for community development including health and hygiene. Apart from this disaster response is of our prime concerns and address it with relief measures like food, grocery, and immediate support like intervention in Covid and Floods.

Empowerment

Cosmo is empowering women and girls with education, skill-building and resource support. We have partnered with the Udayan Shalini Fellowship program and providing scholarships and mentorship to young aspiring rural girls. We have been providing livelihood skill-building support to women Self Help Group of Chhindwara- Tribal District in MP, four-wheeler training to needy women in Vadodara under the project – Nari Ki Savari by Maharani Chimnabai Stree Udyogalaya. 1000+ Women are covered under the Empowerment Project

Environment

Cosmo Foundation is committed to contributing towards Environmental sustainability. Our systematic efforts to create green cover and water conservation. The programs are in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and GIO's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

We have planted nearly One Lakh Trees which includes fruit tree plantation with local farmers, Miyawaki and Bio-Diversity hub at New Delhi and Chatrapati Shambhaji Nagar respectively. It will improve the livelihood of local farmers and contribute to a greener environment. We have also planted trees with Cosmo Foundation tags across Gram Panchayat and Municipality. We have created a Rainwater harvesting facility for rural govt schools to promote water conservation. We have developed and maintained green space under the Karjan flyover at National Highway No. 8 and at Aurangabad Airport.

Education

Cosmo has launched several successful educational programs for the upliftment of the society. Our programs include Computer operation and digital skill building, Cosmo Gyan Vihar Kendra( Foundational Literacy and Numeracy), Basic English Learning, and Cosmo Online Pathshaala.

Annually, we present laptops to the finest performers at the Cosmo Computer Awards. We have launched ”Cosmo English Tutor” as a YouTube channel for imparting opportunities to learn correct English with a scientific and communicative approach to Gujarati and Marathi medium students. We aim to catch young minds and to build their basic native language and arithmetic skills, Digital skills and fundamental English communication skills. We train local women as Balmitras who the educators and agents of change at the grassroots and youth as computer and English teachers. Every year we cater to around 12,000 students. Since 2008 we have impacted 65,000 students.

Community Development

Cosmo Foundation organizes health and hygiene awareness, constructs toilet blocks for rural schools, installs waste bins in schools and villages and participates actively in national programs like “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. “Various health camps viz general check-up, dental, eye and gynec check-up are organized for the betterment of the communities.

We are organizing various events, celebrations of festivals national days and parent engagement activities to promote holistic development. We also organize webinars and awareness programs on new education policy, hygiene awareness, mental and emotional wellness, and workshops on personal safety and cyber security.

We are also supporting a model heritage village project in the village- of Kagzipura at Aurangabad. We have partnered with INTACH and supported tree plantation, pond water cleaning, Digital skill building and English Communication.

Disaster Support

Due to the prolonged periods of lockdown, the COVID-19 pandemic not only created health complications but also drove society into a socio-economic crisis. Cosmo actively organised food, health, and hygiene kit distribution in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi, and Rajasthan to provide aid to the economically weaker sections of society, such as daily wage labourers. This allowed us to provide relief to over 4,40,000 people spanning four states. To support our country during the lockdown, we supplied 38,400 units of cooked meals, 32500 units of sanitisers, grocery kits of 1,70,000 kgs,31000 plus vaccines, handwash stands in healthcare centres, 5,000 hygiene kits, 20,000 units of masks and bus service for stranded labourers. A massive awareness and counselling drive was organized for the prevention of covid and mental-emotional wellness.

Apart from this Cosmo Foundation responded to flash floods in Delhi and Gujarat, and chilled winter in Delhi with donations of grocery kits, Woolen and medical support.
