Journey from Cosmo Student to Cosmo teacher

When I was in standard 7, Cosmo Computer Program started in my school.I was fascinated by computer operation and developed keen interest in the subject. In two years of rigorous practice, I received the Desktop at Cosmo Computer Award. After that I did a summer English course from Cosmo Foundation and it has helped me till date in my academic career.Thus in three years I learnt computer operation, Basic English, expanded my understanding on my interest, skills and requirement of the market.

After 12th commerce I joined a course in Computer Application and completed the graduation in 2017 from Gujarat University. In the final semester my project was on E- commerce. I did on ASP.NET and I got first rank in my college among 100 students. I could achieve this due to Cosmo for giving me the opportunity and exposure to information technology, computer operation, English and guidance for higher education.

Cosmo Foundation is my role model in my life.Here I learnt to work hard, to do the best , learnt basic English and fostered my interest in technology.

I just joined as a computer and trainee English teacher with Cosmo Foundation.I continuously get training and exposure with senior IT professionals from Cosm Films, Delhi and other trainers.

I wanted to be the best computer and English teacher for students in my village and study further on Ion Robotics Programming and Artificial Intelligence.

My parents are farm laborers and I am thankful to them who supported my studies.

Journey from student to Web designer

My name is Dhruv M. Patel. I am from simali village. I studied Diploma in Computer Engineering from Sigma group of institute, Vadodara. I am inspired by COSMO FOUNDATION. Thanks to the cosmo foundation, who came to my school otherwise I would have not known about computers.

During 2008 to 2010 I was in 8th, 9th and 10th standard in Simali Sarvajanik Highschool.I am lucky , because of Cosmo Foundation I learnt computer Basics in school. I was so much interested in computers. I was aspiring for the Cosmo Computer Award but missed the same for one rank in competitive assessment.

Looking at my aspirations, my parents, who were the teachers in Government school, bought a desktop for me.

After passing 10th class board exam I joined Diploma Computer Engineering at Sigma institute, Vadodara. After completion of my studies in 2014 I am working as a Web designer in one of the reputed firms.

I am thankful to the Cosmo Foundation for believing in me and inviting me as an examiner for the practical assessment of students for the computer award in 2016. I was so happy to conduct the exam and my role from student to examiner. I have also designed a blog for the Cosmo Foundation.

I realized that Cosmo has introduced an English Program which was not there in my days, so now students are lucky to learn both English and computers. Over the years the computer course has been revised and I really appreciate the efforts of Cosmo to build digitally literate villages.

Learning is the Key Success

My native place is in Nepal and currently, I am living with my mother in Vadodara. I completed my Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Gujarat Technology University. My entire schooling was done from Shri Hari Krupa Ashram School in Karjan Taluka. It is a place where students get free education. During that time, I was engaged in Computer Literacy Program of Cosmo Foundation. I learned Microsoft word, PowerPoint, Excel, internet surfing, accessing social platforms etc. I learned to work with perfection in digital operation as well for example - to make graphs with proper data, graphical presentation, screening, formatting etc. Due to fine and sharp nourishment from Cosmo Foundation, I could easily complete my all projects, assignments and submissions in college. My grasping ability increased with the digital operation, which made me capable enough to work as a Trainee Operator Engineer in Cosmo Films limited from the last two years. I am grateful to Cosmo Foundation to uplift me in a the correct direction with a bright future.
